We welcome you to the Web page of the Mid-Columbia Church of Christ. We are a congregation of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, putting our faith in Him as our Saviour, Redeemer, and King. We meet each Sunday to worship the God of the universe and to encourage each other toward love and good deeds, according to His Holy Word. We also gather for times of Bible study throughout the week, striving to learn more about our great God and how to serve Him faithfully. We welcome you to join us in Bible study and our worship assemblies.

SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Although we all have sinned (Romans 3:23), the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross makes it possible for us be forgiven and restored to fellowship with God. He makes this offer to us out of his great love for us; it is not for any good things we might have done; all the good things in the whole world would not be enough to earn salvation. God gives it to us freely:
"It is by grace that you have been saved - through faith" Ephesians 2:8.

Believe
Faith is needed to accept God's free gift of salvation: Hebrews 11:6, Romans 10:17

Repent
Real faith (belief) in God will prompt us to change our direction in life - to turn from living for self and turn toward living for God; this is called repentance. It is not just being sorry for our wrongs, but making a definite decision to follow and obey the Lord Jesus. Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30, Acts 3:19

Acknowledge Christ as Lord
Such repentance will lead us next to acknowledge Jesus as the Lord of our life. Matthew 10:32, Romans 10:9, 1John 4:15

Be baptized
Now we submit to Christ in baptism, being "buried" with him, having our sins washed away by his blood. Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:36-38, Acts 16:30-34, Romans 6:3-4

Live for Christ
And for the rest of our lives, we live for Jesus, striving to please him in all that we do. 2Corinthians 5:14-15, Revelation 2:10

Now we are born again (John 3:3 & 5).
We are in Christ ("baptized into Christ" Romans 6:3) so we have new life (Romans 6:4), forgiveness (Colossians 1:14), salvation and eternal glory (2Timothy 2:10), spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3), living hope (1Peter 1:3), and abundant life (John 10:10).

Praise God
What a wonderful gift from the Lord!
All glory and praise to our gracious God.
